Knowledge, Attitude and Perception of Smallholder Farmers on Corona Virus Pandemic in Nigeria

Agriculture plays an essential role in the economy of Nigeria as it provides food for entire population a country and also raw materials non-agriculture sectors economy. Nigeria's agriculture is made up higher percentage smallholder farmers who are often exposed to shocks have less capacity combat impact increase rate recovery due shocks. Therefore, strengths weaknesses farmers' knowledge systems important building resilient agricultural sector improve security, livelihoods build toward pandemics. The COVID-19 pandemic was big threat security since bulk produced by vulnerable paper examined knowledge, attitude, perception using descriptive statistics. A total 400 study area were interviewed about their pandemic. finding showed that 332 respondents aware virus, 340 did not believe existence 365 believed they cannot be infected 271 adhered government-imposed measures on combating virus. On methods employed mitigate spread virus area, 180% observed social distancing, 78% used hand sanitizer, 48% wore nose masks 40% reduced farm visits.
